Small Update - Final Stretch!

Hey all!

This is a small update just to keep you in the loop and know we are listening and working hard!

Here's some pics to show you how much fun we're having in the process!

Note: Please be aware you may not receive a black box. 

Summary of shipping events so far:

Week 1 – Received 2 containers in Vancouver

Shipped 346 blankets to Western Canada – Delivered.

Week 2 – Received small container to Toronto warehouse

Shipped 69 orders within Ontario/Quebec – Delivered.

Week 3 – Vancouver – US

Sent 798 orders in line haul to US – In transit

Week 4 – Received 2 containers in Toronto

Line haul shipped 568 orders to EAST US – In transit

21 manual orders shipped – Delivered

339 single quantity shipments to Eastern Canada – In process/In transit

Upcoming in Week 5:

2 containers arriving in a few days which will cover the rest of the world and be processed as quick as we can!

A lot of this is manual work to ensure backers are getting what they ordered and to ensure no hiccups occur!

A total of 3239 Items have been Delivered to date (more that don't appear here). That brings us to over half of our backers! 

The team is continuing to work on shipping Kickstarter Canadian East shipments for 1 quantity, and more than 1 item shipments today, and Tuesday.

Quick Shipping Update

Let's get this out of the way for those following the excitement!

1) Shipping is moving along nicely. We have sent another 800 west-coast USA backers out today. You should have received the tracking number for it if you belong to the group that went out. 

2) We have 2 containers arriving in our Toronto warehouse on Friday. It will take about one more day to organize the few thousand blankets on there and then those should be sent out for EAST-coast orders on Monday.

3) 2 more containers were ready to roll but were delayed a full week as we learnt there is only one boat to Canada each week :(. It left on July 21st and should arrive to our west coast port on August 5th. Orders will be sent out shortly after that. This should cover every Kickstarter backer!

4) Indeed we are sending out by backer order date but because we are doing almost a thousand per batch, this doesn't really matter as everyone in that region is getting it sent out at the same time. 

5) All we can do is keep thanking those that are continuing to support us and showing us love, and keep telling those with the pitchforks thank you as well. Thank you for keeping us accountable and on our toes. You make us better everyday. Truly.

It is really hard to communicate your private order details in a public forum, but we promise that you will enjoy your blankets soon and if you are curious about your specific order, [email protected] is the ONLY way to receive a response about it. 

Again, we are committed to communication through this channel and we appreciate your comments here and on social media. 

Please understand how hard of a task this is for a young team that promised July before we knew how successful this would turn out. Even though some orders will go a couple of days into August, we know you will find it worth the wait and we ask for your forgiveness in advance.

Introducing the Hush GiveBack Program - A Commitment to Donating Blankets 

We are extremely proud to introduce our GiveBack program to the world!

At Hush, our roots come from giving back to our community and those in need. 

That is why we are making something we've been doing for a while now official. 

• For every 10 adult blankets that are sold, we donate 1 to someone in need. 
• For every 5 kids blankets that are sold, we donate 1 to a child in need.

The best way to learn about the Hush Giveback program is to visit the official page.

We are also vlogging our experience with some of the hands-on work we do, called "Donation Days". You can watch the first video on the page now, the second should be posted shortly!

Some of the charities include organizations such as homeless shelters and adults with disabilities, and organizations that help children with special needs, terminal illnesses, or poverty.

Our project has already garnered attention from some big sponsors which we will announce once it is official!

We hope you, as a backer and a Hushler, are proud of us and our commitment to bringing a better sleep to those who may not be able to afford a good night's rest.

Quick Shipping Update - Exciting Stuff!

Hey Hushlers,

As promised, it's better to do an update every week even if it's small just to keep you in the loop. So here we are.

We've begun fulfillment!

We are so excited to announce that boxes are out the door and have started shipping! 

As mentioned, Western Canada went first with almost 400 orders and now we are doing another 1300 in the USA. 

Rest of North America and the world will continue as the next shipments arrive in the coming weeks.

Tracking Numbers and How They Work

As we get confirmation of boxes leaving the fulfillment centre, we are going to upload tracking numbers to Backerkit, which should then send you an email update. 

If you don't receive this email, you don't have to email support. It just means your blanket hasn't shipped yet. 

If you receive this email and you don't receive your blanket within 7 business days, then you should track the order online using the tracking code. You can also call them and ask about the status. (Note: Some countries will only have tracking to the country. Not to your door. If you have issues, reach out to us and we will help you determine if this is you).

Since shipping speed in North America is so fast (only 1-3 business days for most of North America), anyone that already received a blanket this week may receive an email with a tracking number as well. Sorry about that!

What's Up With European Orders?

There seemed to be some confusion from last week's update about European orders being shipped TO China and then back to Europe. This is not the case. All European orders were to be shipped in a container FROM China (where they are produced) to Europe and then dispersed from there. 

We are currently looking into another option to air-ship straight from North America so that you get it much, much faster. This is looking more plausible each day and we will eat any additional costs to get it to you sooner. Update will be available next week!

July Update: Will we deliver Hush Iced on time?!

Hey Hushlers,

We want to thank you for your patience as we have been working feverishly to get your blankets produced and shipped!

It's July now, and you may be wondering: "when am I going to receive my Iced blanket?"

Production Update

We are happy to say that ALL blankets and sheets have been produced. 40% of them are already on their way to the fulfillment centres, 20% have arrived, and the other 40% are being boxed and shipping next week. 

Fulfillment Update

We are pleased to announce that we have selected 3 different fulfillment centres to work with to deliver all orders across the world. 

One is in Vancouver, one in Toronto, and one in China.

This enables us to get efficient and cost-effective deliveries. All US, Canada, and most international

Shipping Update

So far we have shipped a couple dozen blankets to our early supporters. We did this to test the couriers, shipping speed, and tracking numbers to make sure everything will be smooth with the new centres and couriers.

They were successful, so we will continue with shipping from Vancouver this week!

Vancouver fulfills west-coast of Canada and USA, while Toronto fulfills east coast + international (minus Europe). It will be done in order of backing, although they will all likely go out in the same day or in 2 days.

It should only take 4 days to get everything out the door once the rest arrives on July 14th. Delivery is next-day for cities in the same province, and 2-4 days for Americans.

(Europeans: All European orders are being packed to be sent to our China warehouse in 4 days. From there, they will be labeled and sent via boat (3 weeks) to the Netherlands. From the Netherlands, it will be dispersed to your country via Netherlands Post. So we are looking at a very late July/Early August delivery to your door for those orders. Some add-ons or other products may be arrive earlier for you.)

So all-in-all, we are very happy to say we are on time for a July delivery and to be a Kickstarter that delivers on time (let's hope for no natural disasters, border delays, etc 😜).

Housekeeping - Problem Orders

It is worth mentioning here (if you haven't received the backerkit reminder emails) that there are still 275(!) backers who have not filled out their survey for their address information. 

We are locking addresses and charging cards (for addon purchases) on a daily basis now, anyone who does not lock before we start shipping will not receive a blanket this summer.

If you are not sure, search your email for "backerkit survey", try to find your survey here: https://hush-iced.backerkit.com/, or email [email protected] and we will find it for you. 

There are also some declined cards. You will also not be able to receive your order until those are fixed.

June Update: Hush Iced production and shipping status + more!

Hey Hushlers!

**We want to start off by saying some of you accidentally received an email over the weekend with wash and care instructions, mentioning that your blanket should have arrived.**

This was a glitch by our email marketing system that triggered many backers as a regular website purchaser. Please ignore the email!

Production Update!

We are proud to announce that all blankets and other products have finished production! 🥳🎉

This means they are all packed and ready to go. In even better news, the first container is already on its way to Canada, with USA and worldwide ready to leave within the next week or two as well. 

This means your pledge should be fulfilled shortly after they arrive to their respective countries, with no foreseen hiccups.

We are working closely with a few fulfillment centres around the world to make sure items are inspected for quality and that everyone receives their Iced products smoothly and on time!

We've never taken on a logistics project this large and we're definitely learning a lot. A big thanks to all of you supporting us on social media and spreading the word!

Locking Orders and Unfinished Surveys

As you know, an important step in completing your order is completing the BackerKit survey that was sent to you via email. 

There are still around 300 backers that have not filled this out yet. 

If you haven't yet, we strongly urge you to fill out your address and choose your final items if you would like to get product this summer.

We did over-order so we should still be able to get your order to you, but it needs to be filled out. 

If you can't locate your survey or if you don't remember filling it out, please try looking it up by clicking here or by emailing [email protected]

We are going to finalize and lock the rest of the addresses closer to shipping date as well.

All-in-all we are pleased with the progress so far. In the next update we would love to share some photos with you of some packaging.
