Hello Hushlers,

Lior here with your weekly update on shipping progress here at Hush HQ!

Why do/did I have a tracking number with no movement?

This applies mainly for USA customers. Of course, all labels are generated before they are put onto a box and shipped out the door. Movement only continues on the online tracking when the courier (for example UPS) receives the shipment at their warehouse.

So the way we have been shipping from our Canadian warehouses to the US without you incurring duties is under the section 321 De Minimis Value Entry.

"A de minimis shipment commonly referred to as Section 321, allows for goods valued at $800 USD or less, to enter duty-free into the U.S. Under this legislation they are also permitted to enter without formal entry. "

We have been doing inductions into the USA 3 times per week, basically taking many pallets at a time over the border, handing it over to UPS, and UPS sending them individually to you through their network.

So when there is no movement on the tracking, it means it hasn't been inducted into their network yet. However, we still chose to share your tracking number with you to show that we have labeled and picked and packed your order and it's ready to go next, or currently moving on a truck over the border.

Rarely but sometimes there is a couple hour delay at the border as they need to pull out 1-2 customers names that are flagged and inspect their boxes. This happened this morning but moved along quickly and 481 tracking numbers should show movement online now.

Why are you fulfilling website orders faster?

This is a very valid question that we would like to address, even though we are very close to the end of fulfilling everyone's orders so this won't matter anymore.

The simple answer is that it comes down to the process of the warehouse. Selling a few on our website each day does not slow down or delay the fulfillment of our crowdfunding campaign. Those labels are automatically generated and a separate team fulfills those as they come in.

When dealing with thousands of orders for one campaign, with its own separate SKUs and bundles and packaging methods, it requires a lot of batching, palletizing, and organizing that is quite different and must be handled separately on its own.

I want to reiterate that this is not slowing down our fulfillment process for you at all and we have plenty of inventory and more on the way constantly. Therefore we decided to start and keep selling on our website as it isn't slowing us down, we have the capabilities, and it gives us cheaper shipping rates with more boxes out the door and more possible inductions into the US (not to mention the cash-flow to keep us alive and keep paying for warehousing and overhead).

Yes, you could order on our website and possibly get it slightly faster (not at this point since we'll be done getting everything out the door by the end of next week), but you would be paying full price which can be 40% more than your pre-order here on Kickstarter.

I hope this answer suffices.

These were the priorities for the week and what we've achieved:

1. 54 Canadian east-coast orders seem to have slipped through the cracks that came to our attention today. We are on this ASAP and are aiming to ship out tomorrow.

2. USA 170 order pick up for BC to Blane USA induction- Aug 22nd – Pickup completed

3. Create labels for USA West KS Multi SKU, 481 orders - Aug 21st – Completed- Tracking URLs sent to backers

4. Start the pick and pack for USA West KS Multi SKU, 481 orders - Aug 23rd

5. Get Canadian Multi SKU for the west coast shipments picked up and shipped from BC facility, 233 orders Aug 23rd - Awaiting pickup

6. Stock is running low in ON for 2 SKUs. Arrange the movement of inventory from BC facility to ON Warehouse for International shipments- under processing

There will only be a couple hundred (mainly international) orders left after this! We love you and appreciate your patience. We understand some of you were our first backers, but you will love the Iced blanket regardless of the weather inside or outside, we guarantee it.

Thank you for sticking with us and emailing in your questions, concerns, and of course reviews. We are answering within an hour now on support and will continue to have more people on the support chat and emails until everyone is satisfied!

Speak soon with another update next week,

Lior and the Hush. Team
